Project Description St Lukes Hospital near Lupane was completed in several stages over the past years. All hospital wards, the
theatre, the laboratory, doctors houses, the guesthouse as well as the school of nurses and the kitchen have received solar powered backup systems. The solar array already installed is close to 7 KW in
total and St Lukes takes a well deserved break from erratic grid electricity supplies which made life unbearable for patients and staff previously. Recently solar powered borehole pumps were installed
for which we did the size calculations. Output of these pumps is close to 30.000 Ltrs of clean water per day which support the existing water supply from a conventional borehole pump.
